WESTERN HERITAGE WEEKEND!
October 17th & 18th
10:00am - 3:00pm

Cowboys

Our 6th Western Heritage Weekend will take place October 17th & 18th from *10:00am - 3:00pm. Festival hours are 9:00am - 6:00pm. Admission is $10.00 and children under 2 are free. Underwood Family Farms welcomes back Spencer/Lorraine Productions' fast paced variety show, Western Music, Magic & Mirth. The entire weekend will be filled with stunt ropers, western music, cowboy poetry and even an old-time medicine show. Don your cowboy hats and come on down to the farm for a taste of the Wild West!

Western Heritage Weekend features the following performers:

THE CROSS TOWN COWBOYS. The western trio, THE CROSS TOWN COWBOYS, will be performing Saturday and Sunday from
10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the Main stage. Their repertoire consists of traditional and contemporary western and cowboy music.

PROFESSOR TINKER’S MEDICINE SHOW. Jim Spencer will be on hand to present his magical tribute to the old time medicine shows as performed from the backs of wagons by those who traveled the country bringing entertainment and pharmaceutical products to western towns. Three medicine shows will take place between 10:30 a.m. & 3:00 p.m. www.SpencerLorriane.com

BULLWHIP MASTER ANTHONY DE LONGIS Anthony De Longis and his wife, Mary, will provide informative exhibitions of skill and daring with the traditional tool of the Old West, the bullwhip. They will do three shows demonstrating the whip, its use in the West, plus whip tricks showcasing their skill and precision. Each performance will be capped by their synchronized dual bullwhip tango performed to music. To catch a rehearsal performance of their signature bullwhip tango, check out www.youtube.com/watch?v=rG0WoSwlla8. 
Anthony is well known in the movie industry as a fight and weapons coordinator. He trained Harrison Ford on bullwhip technique for his role as Indiana Jones in the Crystal Skull, as well as Michelle Pfeiffer for her role as Catwoman in Batman Returns. Recently Anthony was featured on “Extreme Marksmen” on the History Channel. WESTERN SIDEWALK SWINDLES This stand-alone feature by Jim Spencer will offer demonstrations of the classical con games played in the west that separated cowboys from their savings. The games will include Three Card Monte, the Shell Game and the Endless Chain. Performances will be throughout the day from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in rotation with the Old Time Medicine Show.Jim Townsley

TRICK ROPER ON STILTS Jim Townsley, a trick roper, has delighted audiences from Universal Studios to every major Western heritage event in the West. Whether performing on stilts of demonstrating tricks with the lasso at ground lever, he will be sure to entertain young and old alike. TWO TALL TOWNSLEY will meet and greet while displaying his roping ability, as well as his stilt walking ability. Performance time 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

SINGING COWBOY
Michael T, the strolling, singing cowboy on foot, will join the festivities on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m strumming his guitar and singing western ballads.  He is a familiar figure & great presence at Western heritage events throughout Southern California.

THE BALLOON DUDE.  Back by popular demand is the Balloon Dude! He holds a gold medal in international balloon sculpture competition and will create festive, multi-balloon sculptures for guests as souvenirs of the event. The Balloon Dude will appear each day of this weekend between 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. www.balloondude.com

FLEA CIRCUS. Jim Kasmir will be on hand to amuse and amaze guests with the feats of agility and daring displayed by the cadre of acrobatic insects in KASMIR’S FABULOUS FLEA CIRCUS. A popular form of entertainment during the 1800’s, the 15 minute flea circus performances set up on a hay bale are sure to draw crowds. Jim will be performing four shows between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
