Farm Birthday Parties at Moorpark

Thank you for considering Underwood Family Farms for your child’s Birthday Party at the Farm. Our Farm Animal Center provides a FUN, relaxing environment to make your child’s birthday an unforgettable experience for young and old alike.  We are located in the heart of the Tierra Rejada Valley in beautiful Ventura County. When are our farm birthday parties held?
Birthday parties are held March thru December starting at 9:30am with time slots until 3:00pm.  (see table below)

*NEW THIS YEAR!* If a weekend party doesn't suit your schedule, we now offer birthday parties Monday - Friday! 2:00pm, 2:30pm and 3:00pm parties are available at a discounted rate of $280 for 15 children & $16 for each additional wristband with a tractor ride around the farm to start. (Animal Show weekends only)

How long is a party?

Birthday parties are 2 1/2 hours long.   You may arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of your time slot to set-up, and you will have 15 minutes after your time slot to clean-up. Failure to clean up your party area will result in a $50 fee charged to your credit card.

What is included in my party?

VIP parking is provided for the parents of the birthday boy or girl.  The party takes place in a shaded area which has four 8' picnic tables, an 8' serving table, and trash and recycling receptacles. Red and white checked tablecloths will be provided for all tables.  If you would like to bring your own tablecloths, they must be secured with clips or tape - not staples.  Each birthday party area has a hook above to hang a pinata. The birthday boy or girl also receives a bucket of feed for the animals and a party photo to commemorate their special day!

The wagon ride departs at the beginning of a party and travels around the farm. What do children do during a party?
The party begins with a draft-horse drawn wagon ride around the farm for all your guests. Wagons leave promptly at the start of your party so advise your guests to arrive on time.  Each child will receive a wristband for the Farm Animal Center and a token to drive the electric tractor ride.

Do all children have a wristband?
It is up to you which children receive wristbands at your party.  If you have babies attending or even older siblings that will not be participating in the Farm Animal Center activities, then you simply do not given them a wristband. Any children not getting a wristband will be given a sticker just like the adults that will grant them admission into the Farm Animal Center. Additional wristbands are available from your hostess during your party for an additional $20.00 each.

What else can they do?
Children up to 48" and 75 lbs. can enjoy unlimited Pony Rides for the duration of the party. The wristband will also entitle your guests to unlimited fun in the Moonbounce, Trike Trail, Cow Train Ride, Petting Corral, and the electric Train Ride, as well as driving the Electric Tractors during the 2 1/2 hour party.  Guests can also enjoy our Farm Animal Center with lots of friendly farm animals to feed, a huge straw pyramid, Farmer Craig's Chicken Show, a Wooden Play Train, the Kid's Corral with sandbox, the Animal Show (11:30am/1:30pm/3:30pm), a Combine Slide, and numberous grassy areas locations amidst 40 acres of beautiful farm land.

What about food?

We offer Domino's Pizza delivered to your party area for $13.99 for a large 1 or 2 topping pizza or $15.99 for 3, $17.99 for 4 or $19.99 for 5 items. Each pizza can be cut into 8, 12 or 16 slices.  Please place your order by the Friday before your party by calling (805) 523-2957.   You may also bring your own food or have food delivered to serve during your party.

What about decorations?

We understand that you have a special theme in mind for your party and you may bring tablecloths, tablecloth holders, balloons, party favors and eating utensils to match your theme.  We also have a reserved parking spot to honor your child on their special day and a golf cart to help you unload the car.  To protect our animals and the environment, we encourage you to thoroughly clean up at the end of your party.  Failure to properly clean the area will result in a $50.00 clean-up fee charged to your credit card at the end of your party.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Do you provide an invitation?
We now offer an invitation that can be filled out on-line.  Simply click here to open the PDF file, fill in the information, print and send in the mail to your guests.  There is no charge for the farm-themed invitation.  If it appears too large upon opening, minimize the percentage to make it easier to fill out.

One of our friendly party hostesses will be on hand to greet you and your guests upon arrival. We will help you unload your car and hand out the wristbands to the children and stickers for the adult.

How much does it cost?

It is $330.00 for up to 15 children; each additional child is $20.00. Adults and the birthday child are FREE.  You will receive wristbands for the children who are participating in the activities. There is no specific age which children must be to participate, but many of the activities are based on height or size.  Infants or older children who will not be a part of the activities, will receive stickers, along with the adults and are not included as part of the 15 paid children.

*The Early Bird Special is $280.00 for up to 15 children with each additional child being $20.00.  Payment is expected at the beginning of your party. A $100.00 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking and your remaining balance will be due at the end of your party.

What if it rains?
We are an outdoor location and rain on the day of, or even the day before your party, can be a spoiler. If there is bad weather in the forecast, we will discuss this with you the week of your party. The amount of rain and when we get it will determine if the farm will be open or closed and if we will be cancelling your party. You may also decide not to take the chance and choose to cancel yourself. In either case, if rescheduling is not an option for you, you will receive a full refund of your $100 deposit.

Can we barbecue?

Yes! If you or a caterer would like to prepare food at the farm you must provide us with a liability insurance certificate naming Underwood Family Farms as insured.   

What about alcohol and smoking?

There is no alcohol or smoking within the gates of Underwood Family Farms though smoking may take place in the parking lot.

The party area is shaded with four picnic tables, one serving table, and a trash receptacle.May we bring our dog?

We love dogs, but they must be on a leash and be cleaned up after! Dogs are not allowed in the PYO fields.
